Innsbruck fixed-rope route
Innsbruck fixed rope route, high above the roofs of Innsbruck, is a popular attraction for the daring. The panoramic fixed rope route, over 7 peaks from the Hafelekar to Frau-Hitt-Sattel, can be enjoyed by everyone with a little experience, good footing and a good head for heights. Appropriate climbing equipment is absolutely necessary.

An area in 2 sections with a total of 13 km of climbing route for all levels and the opportunity to go bouldering is openly accessible in Igls. A climbing guide from Innsbruck Alpine school can also be hired for groups.
Trend sports in Innsbruck and the surrounding areas – Rafting in the Imst gorge
The holiday region around Innsbruck also holds plenty of leisure opportunities in store for outdoor fanatics! Discover the Imst gorge – the most popular rafting route in Europe. After getting changed, a safety talk and an induction from state certified coxswains, the journey through the lovely Imst gorge can begin. Past the pipe bridge swell to the opening to the Ötztaler Ache river. From here, the rapids build up and an inspiring wave ride begins.

Tennis courts in Igls
The most wonderful tennis facility in Tyrol can be found in Igls with 3 sand courts inside the hall, a squash court as well as 9 outdoor sand courts which are floodlit in the evening. This facility is run by Igls Parkclub and lies beautifully in the spa gardens, just 5 minutes away from the Schlosshotel Igls.
Beach volleyball in Igls
Just 5 minutes away from the Schlosshotel Igls is the new Igls beach volleyball court. This certainly makes a change – being able to indulge in a sport that’s normally reserved for the beach in the fresh mountain air.
Innsbruck-Igls riding arena
Beginners, hobby riders and competitors will find everything that their heart could desire here: an outdoor riding corral, kilometres worth of safe and marked riding paths as well as a 65x25m riding hall which leaves you asking for nothing more. Helmets are required, riding boots are optional.
Swimming in the Lanser See
The Lanser See is a popular bathing lake with a surface area of around 35,000m², a large sunbathing area, a catering outlet, a children’s play area, diving platform, floating island, ball play area and minigolf course. Entrance is free for guests with the Innsbruck Club Card (guest card)!
