
Running and Nordic walking routes in Innsbruck and the surrounding areas
Running and Nordic walking are an ideal way to rebalance after a busy day!
In the areas around Innsbruck, you will find many running and Nordic walking routes: 24 different paths totalling 158km in length lead along the Inn and Sill rivers, through Hötting, Mühlau and Arzl, past the Hungerburg with the meadows near to the city, to the Baggersee, into the Sill gorge up to the Bergisel. In Igls itself you will also find round circuits of between 3.5 and 5km, which take you past the Lanser See to Lans and lead you back.

Due to the relief of the terrain which is excellently suited to running and walking sports and the scenic beauty of the low mountain range plateau at the foot of the Patscherkofel, a running centre and diverse route network totalling approx. 80km of running and walking routes have been constructed in the southern villages area around Igls and Lans. There are 12 marked running routes in Igls and Lans available to guests and locals alike.
Starting point: The spa park or Igls Kneipp facility or the stopping point in Lans (line 6).
During the summer, there is a meeting on Mondays and Thursdays for a group running and Nordic walking outing. Participation is free for guests with the Innsbruck Card. Nordic walking equipment is available for all participants to borrow, free of charge.
